COLLABORATIVE THERAPY MEETING WHERE YOU ARE

ABOUT MEGAN

Hi, I’m Megan, a licensed psychotherapist in New York and New Jersey, dedicated to supporting individuals as they explore who they are and who they’re becoming. I earned my Master’s in Child Life and Family-Centered Care from Wheelock College in 2012 and am a Certified Child Life Specialist.  I also received my Master’s in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness with an Advanced Certificate in LGBT Health, Education, and Social Services from New York University where I graduated in 2017.

My practice centers the experiences of LGBTQ+ folks, those questioning their identity or sexuality, and anyone navigating transitions or stepping into new versions of themselves. I work with adults and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions, as well as those exploring queer family planning and parenthood. My approach is sex-positive, kink-aware, and affirming of all identities and relationship structures.

In our work together, I meet you exactly where you are—without judgment, pressure, or expectation. Therapy with me is collaborative and deeply person-centered: you are the one creating change, and I’m here to support you along the way. My role is to help you reconnect with yourself and move toward a life that feels authentic and whole.

Anxiety & Depression

Anxiety and depression can show up in many ways: feeling stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure of yourself. They can feel overwhelming and isolating. Together, we’ll explore what’s beneath those feelings with curiosity and compassion. My goal is to help you better understand your emotional world, recognize patterns that no longer serve you, and reconnect with yourself.

Life Transitions

Exploring who you are can be both exciting and vulnerable. Whether you’re questioning your identity or sexuality, reconnecting with parts of yourself that have felt unseen, or stepping into a new version of who you want to be, therapy can offer space to slow down and listen inward. Together, we’ll explore your experiences without judgment or expectation, helping you move toward a deeper sense of clarity, authenticity, and self-acceptance.

Identity Exploration

Building and growing a family as a queer person or couple can bring unique joys and challenges. Whether you’re navigating donor conception, surrogacy, co-parenting, or the emotional ups and downs of planning, I offer an affirming space to process your experiences and make intentional choices that align with your values. Our work together focuses on creating a foundation of support, connection, and confidence.

Change, even when it’s positive, can stir up uncertainty, grief, and self-doubt. Whether you’re starting something new, ending a chapter, or simply feeling the growing pains of change, therapy can help you find steadiness in the midst of transition. Together, we’ll make sense of where you’ve been, where you’re headed, and how to move forward in a way that feels grounded and true to you.
